Clements Engineering has made a major investment in new machinery to speed up the production process, offer new services and broaden its customer base, just in time for Seawork 2014.
The new machine is a Maxicam M8-1212, 5-axis router and Clements Engineering has a new 2,700 sq ft building to house it and a specialist tooling department. The new facility is within the current Clements Engineering site.
Paul Williams, managing director, Clements, said: “This is a great step forward for Clements. It brings all the subcontract work in-house, giving us control over the whole process, as well as being able to offer a wider range of products and services to our extensive client base.”
Clements is now capable of offering a one-stop-shop to customers for patterns, castings and machining. The company can also now manufacture carbon composite tooling, Rohacell foam inserts, GRP tooling, promotional models, concept models, scale mock-ups and vacuum tooling.
