INMEX Vietnam 2013 Anchors its Success With the 4th Edition, Continues its Position as the Leading International Maritime Event in Vietnam

Fri, 09 November 2012

Following its resounding success in 2011, INMEX Vietnam (formerly known as Maritime Vietnam), the leading international maritime event in Vietnam will open its doors once again to the maritime industry professionals at the Tan Binh Exhibition and Convention Centre in Ho Chi Minh City from 5 to 7 March 2013.

INMEX Vietnam is organised by Informa Exhibitions and Vietnam Trade Fair & Advertising Joint Stock Company (VINEXAD). The 4th edition in 2013 is expected to attract over 200 participating companies and brands from some 16 countries including Vietnam, Singapore, China, Germany, Japan, Korea, Netherland, Switzerland, Poland, and USA amongst many others.

The economic activity within the maritime industry in Vietnam was predicted to remain moderate over the coming years, however recent research and data suggests that Vietnam’s leading ports Ho Chi Minh and the port of Da Nang are riding the headwinds , with strong growth set to occur. With a coastline of more than 3,260 kilometers Vietnam still remains a huge potential for the shipping development and other sea-related services. The industry remains to show signs of it being buoyant despite its trouble past and is showing signs of a healthy container throughput across its various ports. The stability in the industry has translated to regained confidence in the country’s maritime industry.

The next edition of INMEX Vietnam will feature a three-day exhibition and a VIP Buyers Programme. The VIP Buyers Programme will be a unique component of the show which will provide the exhibitors an opportunity to meet the top-level buyers for focused one-to-one appointments. The programme will include a range of activities, including Buyer 1-to-1 Business Meetings, Networking Functions and Shipyard Visits. A group of handpicked senior level buyers will be part of this programme and exhibitors will have the opportunity to meet them and discuss requirements for their upcoming projects.

INMEX Vietnam continues to gain support from the international companies who will be returning again for next year’s edition and remain confident in the quality of visitors that the exhibition attracts.

Commenting on their continued support of the event, Mrs Marjan Lacet, General Manager of HME Singapore Branch said; “We are pleased to be part of the next edition of INMEX Vietnam (Formerly known as Maritime Vietnam) in 2013 , an event which gathers leading players from the international maritime community. We are confident that with the quality of industry professionals attending the event over the past years, this is an ideal platform to learn, share and do business for the maritime industry in Vietnam. Also, we are pleased that the organisers have launched the VIP Buyers Programme as an initiative to bridge the gap between the right buyers, decision makers and the exhibitors”

The Poland Pavilion led by Mr Maciej Leszek Ryczko, Managing Director of Polviet.com said; “We are happy to once again be part of INMEX Vietnam (formerly known as Maritime Vietnam) which proves to be the best place for us to meet the right people in the industry. The maritime industry in Vietnam manages to remain a potential in the region despite of recent market conditions. We believe INMEX Vietnam has now better positioned itself to reflect such changes in the market with its quality visitors.”

INMEX Vietnam 2013 continues to receive strong industry support and endorsement from international and regional maritime associations and governing bodies such as Holland Marine Equipment, Institute of Marine Engineers India, Indian National Shipowners Association (INSA), Maritime Norway, Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers Singapore (SNAMES), Society of Maritime Industries and VDMA – Marine and Offshore Equipment Industries.

The combination of inter-related activities in INMEX Vietnam 2013 will enhance the networking opportunities, capture visitor interest, encourage interaction and fully cater to the Vietnamese maritime business community.
