Marine Tech Expo 2016

Mon, 25 July 2016

The first Mayflower 400 Marine Tech Expo will be held at Plymouth University Marine Station on Wednesday 14 September.

It aims to showcase blue technology businesses in Plymouth and the South West of England, and support marine businesses to create a competitive edge and grow further.

This is the first in a series of shows which are designed to showcase the city’s marine credentials to the industry ahead of the international Mayflower 400 celebrations in 2020.

During the event, held between 9:30am and 6pm, there will be a number of keynote speakers who will talk about the forefront of blue technology. As well as a chance to network with company directors, scientists and academics.

There will be guided tours of the Marine Station, live demonstrations and Plymouth will try to state its case as to why it is an ideal test bed for the global blue tech economy with its marine resource and infrastructure.
