World class rescue boat addition to ISP portfolio

Liverpool UK based International Safety Products (ISP) is joining an elite group as one of the world’s only suppliers of a new world class rescue boat for the commercial marine market.
The new Duarry 420RB rescue boat is an important addition for ISP. The firm will also be adding Duarry’s revamped range of life rafts including Throw Over Board (TOB), Open Reversible (ORIL) and Davit Launched (DL) models to the its portfolio.
Geoff Billington, commercial director, ISP, said: “Key design changes have been made to the shape of the life raft containers with greater reinforcement to the inner shell. This means that most types of Duarry life rafts can be stored on existing cradles on board ships. This will help to improve usability and drive greater efficiency for vessel operators.”
Duarry’s rescue boats also benefit from a durable and lightweight design with a number of innovative design features including an aluminium unsinkable hull and reinforced rubber side panelling.
Being so lightweight, they are quick to deploy and to operate and has a number of enhanced features such as non-spill fuel tanks, detachable seats and inflation and deflation valves. Further features include a SOLAS certified engine with propeller guard.
The new Duarry 420RB rescue boat will be on display at this year’s Seawork International 2015.
Going forward, ISP will be the exclusive UK and Ireland dealer for Duarry life rafts and rescue boats and will be responsible for both sales and service in the territory.
