INCASS is an EU funded project that aims to bring an innovative solution to the integration of monitoring, inspection, data gathering (including real-time information), risk analysis and management and Decision Support for ship structures, machinery and equipment in an efficient and collaborative manner.
The Second Annual Public Workshop of the INCASS project has taken place on the 19th of November 2015, hosted by Lloyd’s Register at their headquarters in London. The purpose of the event was to introduce the INCASS concept, progress of the project, finalised tasks and activities and practical implementation and benefits to the maritime industry.
SSA were invited to the workshop as Industry Experts to oversee and review the projects activities and to provide feedback for future developments within the project.
The project is now entering its final year and is undertaking practical applications of the technology that has been developed.
Additional information about the project is available from either contacting SSA or the project co-ordinators Strathclyde University.
